Founded in the early 2000’s, Iroko Fine Art acts as a catalyst in the launching of Black African Diaspora contemporary art practices onto the international mainstream. We have evolved organically into a fully fledged bespoke art business concern; in 2009, we added a sales department to our operational framework, leading to considerable success in the East and West African art markets.
In 2010, as Iroko Art Consultants, we held the largest private art exhibition ever held in Abuja, Nigeria’s capital to celebrate 50 years of Post Colonial/Independence Art, ‘Evolving Currents’. In October 2013, we held the first major exhibition of East & West African artists in Kenya, Nairobi sponsored and sorted by some of the most stellar corporations in East Africa including Safaricom (East Africa’s largest Telecoms Provider) Coca-Cola and the Nigerian High Commission.
We have continued to collaborate with NGOs, business, collectors and government agencies to take the work of our artists to the world.
With our long held conviction to help with educational stimulus programs for artists and enthusiasts alike, at Iroko Fine Art, we organise symposia, workshops and master classes aimed at improving the academic and technical proficiency of art practitioners. We partner with educational institutions, world class museums and international collectors.
